Happy New Year!
Sorry this post is a little late. We rang in the new year with a bout of the stomach flu. We seem to be recovering well, but it just still seems really 2019-ish around here to me since I passed out on the couch at 8 PM on New Year's Eve. I would like a redo.
2019 was a busy year for us. We welcomed our third baby in April (see post here). We spent our first full year in our new home and accomplished a decent number of "fixer upper" projects (you can see some of our house projects on my Instagram stories).
Maybe this year wasn't adventurous as years past. We didn't travel the world, and we now live in the middle of rural America. But to me, this has been one of my most adventurous years so far. I spent most of the year just enjoying motherhood and watching my three kids learn and grow and trying to cook the quickest and easiest meals I could think of. I DID manage to post ten new recipes though (see them here).
Despite my low volume of new content this year, Google Analytics tells me I had 11,961,712 pageviews this year. I keep having to count the digits there because I think it's too big of a number to be true. Is that really 11 MILLION??? You guys are truly so awesome for wanting to use my recipes and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Now, before I go on to the countdown, here are my "top ten" posts from years past (starting in 2012) in case you're feeling nostalgic (I am).

And now, the top ten posts of 2019!
Who doesn't love a good creamy cheesecake with homemade salted caramel, toffee bits, and a chocolate covered crust??
Apparently my own husband. I have seen him pass down many cheesecakes. I am baffled.
If you are a cheesecake lover, get the recipe here.
If you would like a warm, spicy, cheesy dip to sink your chips into, get the recipe here.
This is easily my favorite cake ever. Milk chocolate frosting, a deep, dark, dense, rich chocolate cake, and caramely coconut pecan frosting. This has been a favorite on my blog since 2013 for obvious reasons. Get the recipe here.
You don't need to wait until apple season to make this one. Get the recipe here.
For some reason, this is my most popular recipe with people I know in real life. Try it, the recipe is here.
5. The Best Fudge Ever
Here is one that I make faithfully every year at Christmas time with rave reviews. I spent a long time perfecting this recipe, so I am glad that you all have enjoyed it! Get the recipe here.
4. Sun Dried Tomato Spinach and Cheese Stuffed Chicken
I have to confess, the only time I ever made this recipe was the time I photographed it here. I was hungry for lunch and dug around in the fridge, found these ingredients and decided to photograph it since it was pretty. It's very simple and very yummy though, and obviously well loved by all of you, so I should definitely make it again. Get the recipe here.
3. Flourless Marshmallow Crunch Brownies
This is the ultimate dessert if you are craving something thick and chewy. You can actually make this recipe with any brownie box mix! Get the recipe here.
2. Secretly Healthy 87 Calorie Brownies
I suppose this one makes up for the number of calories in the last one. If you are trying to start out the new year in a healthy way, but are having a hard time without ooey, gooey chocolatey desserts in your life, try this one. Get the recipe here.
And coming in at the top of the list with 601,302 pageviews is my most beloved blueberry muffin recipe. My sister and I went through TONS of experimenting back in 2015 to bring you the absolute BEST blueberry muffin, so this post really deserves to be at the top. Get the recipe here.
Bonus: Persian Chicken!
This one almost made the top ten. It was my 11th most viewed recipe this year, but I thought I should include one recipe that I actually posted in 2019! It is really authentic and will give you a new and exciting flavor experience. Try it! Get the recipe here.
