The Top Ten Recipes of 2015

Well, 2015 has been quite an eventful year for me. Definitely the most awesome year of my life so far. I got engaged, then got married, and moved to Berlin. I've made my fair share of soggy sweet potato fries, rock hard fudge, and burnt cookies, but in the midst of all that, I think I made a few things that were alright.

Before I share this years top 10 most popular recipes of the year, all of you more sentimental people can check out these Top Ten posts of years gone by.

The Top Ten of 2014

The Top Ten of 2013

The Top Ten of 2012

I guess I didn't do a Top Ten post any earlier than that. I would be too embarrassed to show it to you if I had anyway.

10. Outrageous Reese's Peanut Butter Cake

No surprise that this monster made the list. Look at all those Reese's Cups. Maybe it's just the scarcity of Reese's Cups here in Germany, but I sincerely think I could eat that whole thing by myself right now.

9. Fat Chewy Peanut Butter Banana Cookies

Watch out if you make these cookies. The dough is eggless, so you really don't have any excuse at all not to eat all the dough before it gets to the pan. Best to make two batches.

8. Chewy Gooey Brownies with Creamy Chocolate Frosting

You can always use another brownie recipe, especially if it's smothered in a creamy chocolate frosting and you eat it warm with a glass of milk with stripey red straw or two.

7. Grandma's Famous Pumpkin Bread

This is actually probably the most viewed post for how long it's been around.  I only posted it a couple months ago and it's already risen to #7 for the whole year, and for good reason. It's basically the same recipe my grandma uses for her banana bread, which remains one of my most popular posts of all time. Why? Because it objectively is the best ever.

6. The Best Chocolate Pie Ever {In the Microwave!}

You might notice that almost half of the top ten recipes here have "best ever" in the title. That's because I don't lie. When I say it's the best ever, I mean it in all honesty. This is really the best chocolate pie I've ever had. And I think it's the best one you guys have had too since it made the list. Plus, you can make it in the microwave. Can't beat that.

5. The Best Gluten Free Oatmeal Cookies with Dark Chocolate and Cherries

Whether you eat GF or not, you will love these cookies. They don't have all those crazy weird gluten free flours. Just good old oats. This is my go to cookie recipe.

4. Spinach and Artichoke Mac and Cheese

I gotta say, this is the most photogenic bowl of mac and cheese I ever made. It was definitely the tastiest too.

3. Sun Dried Tomato, Spinach, and Cheese Stuffed Chicken

An easy but impressive meal when you're in a hurry.  It's colorful, flavorful, and cheesy. No wonder it made it all the way to #3.

2. The Best Blueberry Muffins Ever

This proves that hard work does pay off. My sister and I made so many dozens of mini batches, tweaking and experimenting every time, until we finally found it... the perfect blueberry muffin. In this post, you will not only find the details of our long blueberry muffin journey, but also all the muffin tips and tricks we learned along the way.

1. The Best Fudge Ever

And finally we have this beautiful, creamy, walnut fudge. Another example of hard work paying off.   This fudge took me about four months to perfect. I think I finally got it right. The commenters on the post definitely agree.
