Top Recipes of 2014

Well, it's that time of year again. Time for me to say a bunch of cheesy stuff about how much I love you and appreciate your kind comments and encouragement that have motivated me to continue this crazy blog for nigh on four years. I really do love doing this, as much as my family and friends might hear me whining and complaining about how much work it is. Really, it's all fun. Whining is just fun too.

And now that I'm done with that little bit, it's time for what you've all been waiting for... the top ten countdown of the most popular recipes of 2014.

 10. Secretly Healthy Zucchini Brownies

Of course everyone loves the secretly healthy stuff, so this was no surprise. And at 87 calories per brownie, why not?

9. M&M Cheesecake

Nothing beats a creamy cheesecake with a chocolate covered crust.

8. Chewy Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies were freakishly perfect. I'm so glad I finally discovered the secret to avoiding cakey pumpkin cookies.

7. Cheddar Bacon Stuffed Pretzel Buns

It was pretty obvious that these were going to make the list. Mostly because of the bacon. And the cheese. And the pretzels.

6. The Best Carrot Cake Ever

I'm not surprised that these made the list. Mostly because they're based on my Grandma's perfect banana bread recipe. Those banana bread muffins were actually the most viewed recipe on Yammie's Noshery this year. I guess people realized that I wasn't lying that they are the absolute best banana bread muffins ever. They didn't make the list though since they were not a 2014 recipe. This carrot cake was though. And it's awesome. Oh, and it can be GF too. It even made an appearance on my gluten free blog. I'll shut up about them now though. Just make them.

 5. Flourless Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake

Flourless chocolate cake is probably the best thing ever, closely followed by all things peanut butter. You were wise to give it so many pageviews. It really deserved a spot on this list.

4. Cheesecake Swirl Brownies

These were actually a redo of this old post from way back in 2011. Looks like they're just as good now as they were back then. Or at least you all seemed to think so.

3. The Best Spinach Artichoke Dip Ever.

I've been staring at this hand for about ten minutes and I'm still not sure whose it is. I guess I'll never know what lucky person ate the chip photographed in this picture. Whoever it was, I'm kind of jealous. This dip was da best.

2. Salted Caramel Cups

Gooey, homemade, salted caramel in a shell of dark chocolate. What's not to love?

1. The Best Oven Fried Chicken Ever

And now the #1 most popular recipe of 2014. I'll tell you, this was definitely the most popular in my house this year. I probably made this chicken approximately 67,899 billion times since I first made up the recipe. It's easy, turns out great every time, and everyone loves it.  Sometimes I use whole chicken breasts and pound them. That's awesome too. You really can't go wrong.
