Marshmallow Krispie Brownies

Hey guess what. Today's my favorite holiday. FAT TUESDAY

Finally we fatties of the world get some appreciation for once.

Or at least some recognition.

Okay, okay! So Fat Tuesday isn't even really a celebration of fat people, but I can dream, can't I???

As for me, I celebrated Fat Tuesday in all its gluttonous splendor.  I may not have had enough ambition to make any authentic paczkis, but I think I managed to squeeze in enough calories to call it a true success. And it's as easy as 1-2-3.

First make your brownies.

And lick the bowl.

The licking is important.

Then dump some marshmallows on and let them get gooey and toasty.

Then mix up some chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter and zap it in the microwave till it's smooth and creamy.

Wonderful.

Now fold in some Rice Krispies and pour them over the toasted marshmallows, and there you have it.

Dense fudgy brownies with ooey gooey marshmallows and a melt-in-your-mouth, crispy chocolate peanut butter topping. It's the perfect symphony of textures and flavors.

Have fun.

Oh, and uh... try not to get toooo fat. I mean, maybe limit yourself to six or ten of these. That seems somewhat feasible. Not that I would be one to advise you on such extraordinary self-control.

heh.

Marshamallow Krispie Brownies

1 9x13 inch pan of brownies- box mix or my favorite recipe
1 bag mini marshmallows
2 cups chocolate chips
1 1/4 cups peanut butter
5 tablespoons butter
3 cups Rice Krispies

Prepare your brownies. When they have about 8 minutes of baking left, pour the marshmallows over the top and finish cooking until they're golden brown. Let cool while you prepare the topping.
For the topping, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in a microwave safe dish. Microwave thirty seconds at a time, stirring at each interval, until smooth and melted. Fold in the Rice Krispies and then pour over the brownies. The end.
